Pellegrini slams ‘lack of respect’

Manuel PellegriniAfter his widely-expected sacking yesterday, ex-Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini has hit out at his former club.

Pellegrini was afforded just one season as head coach of Real Madrid, and today he blamed a lack of support and respect from the club as the reason for his departure.

Pérez welcomes his new coach

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has confirmed the dismissal of Manuel Pellegrini, and the imminent arrival of José Mourinho.

The move comes after an emergency board meeting held at 17:30 today at the Bernabéu.

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has named his final 23-man squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Barcelona duo Victor Valdés and Pedro Rodríguez, along with Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martínez are all ready to make their international débuts after making the cut yesterday.
